What to expect.
AM Dietetics offers both in-person and telehealth consultations to cater for a range of needs. No referral is required to see a dietitian.
During your initial consultation we will discuss your nutrition goals and concerns and create an action plan of nutrition focused strategies to achieve your goals. In most cases multiple review consultations are required to review your progress, discuss any roadblocks or new concerns, and make changes to your nutrition strategies as required. Your individual needs and circumstances are always considered when creating a management plan, so frequency of review will vary.
Please note that we typically do not provide prescriptive meal plans within consultations. If this is something you would like or are expecting, please note this when booking so your dietitian can discuss this with you and decide on the best option for your personal needs.
Pricing.
Initial consultation 60 mins - $185
Review consultation 30 mins - $105
Concession discount is available for pensioners and health care card holders.
Medicare and private health rebates.
Medicare Chronic Disease Management Plans and Team Care Arrangements are accepted. Please note these sessions are not bulk billed and there will be a gap payment. To see if you are eligible for a Medicare plan, please discuss with your GP. Private health claiming is available for both in person and telehealth consultations. Coverage varies per health fund, so please contact your health fund for any queries regarding this.
Cancellation policy.
Appointment reminders are sent one week prior to bookings. It is kindly asked that a minimum of 24 hours notice is provided for any cancellations or rescheduling to allow the opportunity to fill the appointment time. Cancellations or rescheduling of appointments with less than 24 hours notice will incur a fee of 50% of the booking. We understand that in some circumstances this notice may not be possible so please make contact regarding this if required. Missed appointments are charged at the full consultation fee.
